A small open-top box, about 5 1/2” on a side, made of Aspen finished with multi coats of hand-rubbed water-based poly to prevent yellowing of the creamy wood color. All 44 joints hand-cut with a razor knife, Japanese saw, and chisel, and left proud about 1/8” to accent the joinery. The grain wraps around all four sides of the box.

Not bad for pratice ! (pratice makes perfect, and you’re on a good way) :)

Great looking and well crafted joints. The wood has pretty grain patterns. Great work!
