This is a wine rack I made for a friend…it was also my first wood project ever, so I’m extra proud of it. Stood about 5+ feet tall and, though you can’t see in the pics, the top sides are all open. The lattice work on the bottom was pretty tricky, especially since at the time we didn’t really have all the tools like we do now, but it’s also what led to the woodshop being created so that’s a good thing. I found a similar template for the bottom and kind of changed and expanded it from there. The only regret on this was not taking more pictures, but I plan to make another at some point and I’ll be sure to get them all then.

Dang…. I would never have posted a pic of my first project, mostly because I never looked like this! Nice work. And for future projects, get as many pics as you can. I started taking lot of pics of my work including during the construction phase so that I could build a portfolio of sorts for when people as about doing jobs for them. I can then show them pics of the work I’ve done. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

That’s pretty great for a first project. Like the design, very well executed and built especially the lattice work. Excellent job!
