Made this for my Aunt and Uncle for their 50th wedding anniversary. It is made from aspen and aromatic cedar.
My cousin called me the week before the party and asked me if I could “throw something together”. This is what I came up with. I purchased the W and used medium walnut danish oil to age it.

They loved it.

A nicely done box. Like the way you “aged” the W letter and the cedar strips look great too. Nice work on such short notice.
