This is my absolute last box that I am making before my upcoming show. It has been a marathon …as it always seems to be… and for my wife and I heading out to the show is a break and lots of fun…!

This box is made from some beautiful quarter sawn oak that I have been having in my shop for about 5 years. The accents are Rosewood and the lift is Padauk. I really like this combination and it ended up being a pleasant surprise when I applied the first coat of lacquer.

Once again, simple and sleek design. Great color combinations. It just has a sophisticated look to it.

Really nice box again. How many have you and your wife built for your show? Cheers.

Very, very attractive box—another good seller I’d predict.

Compliments. Another interesting lift design. I like it. I always struggle with these. You may be a contender with jbschutz for variety of nice lift designs! LOL Keep ‘em coming.

Thank you everyone…! We are not leaving for Louisville until tomorrow but I have been experiencing workshop withdrawals already… I think I can hear my tools talking to me. Seriously though, a short break is good every so often and we do enjoy the travel and doing the shows. Of course, it is always good to carry a bag of sawdust and woodchips to wear around my neck.

My wife and I are looking forward to having dinner Saturday evening with a couple of Lumberjocks…Boxguy and Roger. This will make it an extra special trip.
