Here are 2 simple natural edge boxes I turned earlier today out of a piece of mesquite that i stole from my smoker wood pile. My smoker is now madd at me. :-)

This was an experiment to see if i could ddo one with natural eddge and the first time i have ever turned mesquite.

The mesquite turns nicely but i now need bigger pieces. Let me know what you think not expecting much out of my little learning experiment.

Sometimes practice pieces look better than intentional pieces. Looks good to me. I love the bark edges also.

Well done. I like working with Mesquite. Your stack of smoker wood will forgive you.

They came out really great looking. Like the shapes and the natural edge. Great turning!
