Spalted Maple Fruit Bowl

This Maple bowl comes from several logs salvaged from a trash pile in Orlando, FL, The logs were deliberately spalted and then dried over a period of about two years. The bowl is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. It was finished with a gloss lacquer and then buffed to a satin finish.

Work of art. The 3rd and 4th pics are just unreal….the way the grain is showing. Great job on this.
