The 5 represents a friend of mine’s 5th year in business. She makes some fine jewelry, and, I also made some beads for her before, which she has incorporated into a necklace. She flipped when she seen the “5” box, but really was surprised to find it filled with beads. The 5 is Walnut (cut-offs from my grndsons crib), and Oak that was laying around. Zebrawood for the drawer pulls. My wifey layed the leather in the drawers which really looks good, i.m.o. Thnx for the looks, and any comments, good/bad/ugly. I really appreciate it. Here is a closer pic of the beads:

Looks great, and your wife did an outstanding job with the leather linings.

Very cool and sweet of you to create as a gift. I too like the leather lined drawers.

SUPER! Certainly one of the most unique boxes I’ve seen and wood selection and finish superb. The beads really add to the marvel. So nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Now that is a great design! Those beads are very cool as well. The red leather lining adds a lot of class.

Nice laminated box, Roger. Those little beads out of the burl wood look really cool, too.

That’s a great looking box Roger. Even better thinking on the 5 year business gift. I’d give this 5 a 10

That is wonderful Roger! Gifts with a meaning are so … meaningful. Leather lining and bonus beads to boot, you and wifey did good. How big are the beads? Do you turn them on the lathe? Thanks for sharing.

That is SO COOL!
Wonderful job!

Did you line the drawers with a fabric or did you BLOW it on?

Thank you.
