This is a 10” elm bowl with a wipe on poly finish. I have not turned many green bowls so far, but I am really starting to like them. This was roughed out and turned after 4 months. I like the grain pattern in this bowl.

Good looking bowl. I’‘ve never had the opportunity to turn any green wood, but I will sooner or later.

What a beauty!

When you allowed it to dry, did you put it in a bag or just left it exposed to the air?

Lew,

I put the roughout in a paper bag and taped it up. I did flip the bowl/bag a couple of times over the first week as the bag was wet on the bottom side would be dryer on the top side.

Another hit—very nicely done.

Good looking bowl! Like the orientation of the grain patterns and finish. Well done!
