Walnut Night Stands:

This is by far the most challenging project that I have undertaken. I built these to match the bed I made earlier this year. I love working with dark walnut. Everything including the sides has curves to it. Top is walnut burl with surrounding solid walnut. 4 legs were curved on the bandsaw. Sides are walnut veneer on 1/4 inch maple, which are curved to match the legs. Drawer frames are maple. Lots and lots of sanding! I used a dark maple stain with 3 coats of poly.

Thanks for looking!

Very cool design. Did you design it or see it somewhere? Nice job.

I like the design. There is sort of an elvish or hobbit quality to it.

The design is really nice looking and they look very well constructed. The night stands are a great compliment to the bed you made espalier.
