This is what I consider to be my first real fine furniture build. Its a solid cherry coffee table with hidden drawer on each side with a false front. It’s finished with Watco natural and 3 coats of wipe on poly

I like it, false drawer fronts with the real drawers on the side, lol.

That is a nice table. I like the legs.

Dave, not many people have tried to open the false drawers yet but with a wedding rehearsal dinner in 6 weeks I think it will be tested then. The reason for the side drawers is that the couch this table is used at has a chaise lounge and it is easier to get the TV remotes with a side drawer. It’s laziness at its finest.

First time I have seen anything like that. The table is a nice looking design.
I usually dislike false drawers, but the bed I am currently building has both real and fake drawers.
I guess we are not so different after all.

A simply classy design of wood table! Looks like a lot of work! I like the details on the legs. Cool.

Very nice looking. Is the top book matched in any way? Two of the boards look similar is all I was noticing.

Luke, the top is not book matched. I tried to keep the better looking boards for the top. Although the final say so on the top boards was from the significant other. She said they have to look “pretty.” lol
