Last weekend I did my second halloween decoration of the year and made this neat little skeleton from free pallet wood. I had some soft 3/4 pieces of old pallet wood lying around, after gluing on a pattern I made up on photoshop I cut all the pieces out on the scroll saw. Did some fine detailing with the router and sanded it up. I used 2 strips of 18 gauge steel wire to hold the whole thing together. 1 through the head and around the arms and the other through the pelvis into the legs. Finished with a “spooky” ebony stain and a few coats of lacquer. Fun basically free project for the holiday. Thanks for looking! If anyone is interested in the pattern I made I can upload it!

Great job. I would love to get a copy of the pattern if you would not mind.

Nice work! Great detail and I love the Ebony stain finish for the extra ‘Spooky’ feel. I, too, would really appreciate it if you could upload your pattern. This is a great complimentary piece to the router carved pumpkin sign you posted earlier. I look forward to seeing next week’s Halloween project!
