This last year I lost my Dad and he was really into wood working and is the one that got me interested in it at an early age. We did all of our own remodeling as I grew up to the point of even making our own kitchen cabinets. I don’t think there is anything he could not do or make.
He had started roughing out a bowl on his lathe so I thought it would be nice to finish it and give it to one of my daughters. So here is the finished bowl noted it was started by him and finished by me. I gave it to one of my daughters. I am also trying to finish a stagecoach he stated and then I will give it to another daughter.

Very nice work Bill. I’m sure you daughter will love it. I’m always jealous of you guys that can do projects on a lathe. Cherry?

Great looking bowl! Like the shape and those amazing grain patterns. Your Dad will be really happy that you finished it. It’s a great memory and tribute to be cherished forever by the family.

It’s a nice way to remember your dad and I’m sorry for your loss. The bowl is really pretty.

Beautiful bowl… son has just taken up woodworking and we have worked on two projects together which has been my favorite time woodworking. I also just lost my dad, so very sorry for your loss. Hang on to the memories.
