Cherry nightstand

Finally finished the cherry nightstand I started months ago. This is my first time working from a general idea in my head and a very rough drawing. I had planned on adding a Greene and Greene style spline to the breadboad ends but finally decided against it mostly due to laziness.

That is a great looking piece. The breadboard ends and three board back are nice details. I really like the handles. Where did you pick those up?

I was looking for Stickley reproduction pulls and found those at Historic House Parts, great selection and prices were decent. I thought about using a plywood back but decided that ship lap was more fitting and fairly easy to make.

Very nicely done; and it looks great as an A&C piece without the splines and square plugs.

Certain pieces just have a classy, clean look and yours definitely fits into that category. BTW I totally understand your “lazy” comment. I often have the same affliction…..
