A few years ago I received a request for a quote on a Sofa-table for a lady in Florida.
I emailed her 3 photos of different Sofa-tables to pick from. I received an email back very quickly with the picture of the one she wanted. I gave her a quote for the table made with Cherry and she accepted it within a couple days. I received a deposit for the table and put it in my line up of jobs to do.about 6 weeks latter I began the table and was finished latter that week. The table was built with mortice and tenon Joints, and received 2 coats of vinyl sanding sealer sanding after each coat, and 3 coats of Post-catalyzed lacquer, sanding after the 1st coat only.
I boxed the table up and shipped the table within a few days. In less than a week I received a call in the middle of the day, this women was beside her self. I asked if the table had been damaged in shipping, she replied no the table was perfect and beautiful. I asked then what is wrong, she replied It is not the one I picked. My heart sunk I was already behind schedule, from nothing more than over scheduling for myself. Well we made arrangements to get that table back and the 2nd table back to her in about 2 1/2 weeks.
The next call I received from her was delightful, however I not only had an extra Sofa table to sell but was another week and a half further behind. By about February the next year I was finally back on schedule.
Thanks for looking,
