thanks, Ya’ll. Nope, that a photo of the piece. The finish is catalized lacquer. Spectratech, the mfg’ers, (http://www.spectratechmdf.com/) makes there colored MDF in 8 colors. It’s a fun product to work with. I like to use it in conjunction with a CNC router. I just love the accuracy of a CNC router.

Great modern piece! Just say this as it caught my eye. Never heard of color through mdf. I could see it having very cool applications like you have shown.
