Here is a bracelet that I have been playing around with for awhile now. This is my first attempt at both a bracelet and at inlaying.
The bracelet is made from sapele and walnut that I glued up and and turned to round. I drilled out the center with a hole drill so that I could do something with the “donut hole” I hot glued the donut or bracelet to a sacrificial wooden faceplate and turned it on my lathe. I grooved the bracelet in three places and CA glued the copper wire in place. After what seemed to be years of sanding I put a CA glue finish on the parts of the bracelet that were exposed and away from my wooden faceplate. I was able to pull the bracelet away from the hot glue and I used a chisel to pair away the hotglue. Then I used a chisel to take the squareness off of the hotglue side. I finished the shaping of the that side with coarse sand paper and some files.
I believe it turned out credible especially for my first attempt.
