I just finished this traditional Nativity box depicting the Nativity of our Lord Jesus. Made from ½ maple and finished with Danish Oil Medium Walnut. The sides fit together with slots glued together and the glued to the base.

This was made for a friend and now customer

This is a Shelia Landry pattern and can be found on her web-site

Very nicely done, but I have one question. Why are the Wise Men on the front and the Manger with the Christ child, Mary and Joseph on the back? I would have thought it would be the reverse.

HillyBilly – Just the way the lid is positioned. That is all – the lid can be turned around and I should have.

Thanks for the clarification—for some reason I thought the lid was hinged and didn’t realize it could be repositioned. Still, very nicely done, jerrells! Great pattern from Shelia Landry!

Great looking box! I’m working on one myself right now. I’m doing mine in white oak. Hope mine turns out to look as nice as yours.
