Real nice candle stick. I’d like to see more of your barn. I love old barns!!

Great job on the turning. What is the wood and finish?
I would like to make one observation about the design and it may just be my personal perception so please take this as a constructive comment. I personally find constructive comments helpful and wish people on this site would do more of it.
The column has a appearance of being heavier in the middle and towards the top. I think these types of turnings look better when the weight (size) is larger towards the bottom. I realize we are often limited by the size of the material be begin with. In this instance turning the column end for end would help to achieve this.

Jim: My woodshop used to be an old convenience store back in the 30’s!
The door faces a large plot of land, then the ocean :)

I love it too other than all the plastic I have to run in the upper area to keep the rain from my tools!
(We plan to get the roof fixed next summer)

LesB: I used 2 pieces of Maple glued together :)
