I couldn’t find an aftermarket gearshift handle for my green 2010 Camaro, so I made my own.
I used a nice piece of Quilted Maple and used green aniline dye and clear lacquer for the finish.
I had to strip down a factory handle to the bare essentials then fit them inside the wood handle.
It is basically a 1/8 inch shell of wood around the trigger mechanism.
It took me about 10 hours to do using a few burrs and misc sanders, and a bandsaw to do the basic rough out.
