I had a 4 foot log of Bradford pear laying in the yard for over a year. I cut it and found this. It is beautifully spalted and still hard as a rock. Gave this one a cherry finial to finish it off.

Great job on the turning. Never saw spalted pear before. I have some flowering pear logs but they all look clean. Yours is awesome.

That is an awesome piece of wood. And a great job of turning. Congratulations.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
