Here we have a purpleheart ring I made as my first commissioned piece. It ended up being just so ever too small so I made another. The way I see it, there’s a finger out there that is the right size for this ring! Finished with a few coats of French polish from Lee Valley. The first picture was taken soon after it was turned on the lathe. The other 2 pictures were taken about 2 weeks later and what a difference in colour!

Very nice looking ring, I am not sure about French polish. I only use CA glue for the finish on my rings!

It’s pretty. Like the finish and the purple color really showed. Well done!
