Come on Don whoa back a little bit, if its corian usually the product is heated and moulded to shape.
Not turned! so I still want to know more, and as from my experience of working with it corian is messy to say the least in relation to dust production and associated waste.

There’s a nationaly known woodturner named Andy Chen who turns beautiful segmented pieces from corian. He demonstrated his technique with corian at one of our turning club meetings a couple of years back. He also had a beautiful corian piece in the Instant Gallery at SWAT a couple of weeks ago. Corian can be turned with High Speed Steel and carbide tools. Several of our members have since turned pieces from corian. Type in corian bowls in the search engine on this website. There have been several posted.
