Project Information
Here is a nice little cherry bowl I just finished, made from a felled cherry tree and rough turned back in March. It is about 8" across and has some very interesting patterns in the grain. I finished it with Danish oil then buffed it using red tripoli, white diamond, and carnauba wax.
The added embellishment in the bottom is made of rosewood with a cherry center. The idea came from my fellow Baltimore Area Turners member David Reed Smith. He calls it a 'star in a circle' and gives very detailed directions at his website which can be found at http://www.davidreedsmith.com/.
