Koa Safety (Double Edge) Razor and how-to

I get a lot of irritation shaving with a cartridge razor and wanted to give double edge shaving a shot. So far I like it a lot better. Being a woodworker with a lathe, or course I had to make my own. These are a little tricky because as far as I can tell, there are no kits.

This is Koa and was turned between centers, finished with CA. Here is an album that highlights some of the steps I went through and a link to the store where I bought the 3 piece head.

I switched to a double edge about a year ago mainly because of the cost of the cartridge refills on the other razors. The double edge is such a better shave. My handle pales in comparison to your koa!

Great job on that beautiful handle. Like the wood and great finish.
