This is my second success turning a bowl on the lathe. This one is a piece of Santos Mahogany (I think). It measures 7.5” x 2”. I really enjoy turning . I think my focus from here on will be the Lathe and my Ring Master. I hope that one day I can progress my turning skills so that I can post some of the outstanding projects that I see on this Forum. Comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks Donna, Jay and Charlie. I am really trying to get the hang of this lathe thing – one time my turnings come out o.k., then the next they are firewood.

Nice looking bowl Bill. I have never turned a bowl on a lathe so I will have a learning curve also.

Another fine bowl Bill. They’re coming along nicely.

Looking good. I haven’t used a lathe in years and never made anything this nice.

Great bowl Bill. Don’t feel too bad about using your lathe to make firewood, I know all about it.
