African Mahogany and Yellowheart Vase

Here is a vase I just completed. It is made from african mahogany with yellowheart in the center and top. It was all done on the scroll saw. I finished it with 2 coats of BLO and several coats of clear poly. Picture 3 is the rough cut rings stacked before gluing. The second picture is of the final glue up in the bowl press. That is beautiful piece. Today – you taught me something. I don’t believe I have seen yellow heart in person. Where did you find it?
