”The finish is Walnut oil and wax”
I was just reading an article regarding the drying time of Walnut oil (up to 90 days).
Did you apply the WO and then the wax, or blend them together and then apply the combo ?
Nice looking project : )

This is the first time I have ever used oil and wax as a finish, it’s an experiment.
Our climate is hot and dry, so the cure time for the oil, hopefully isn’t too long.
I applied the walnut oil, let it sit for 30 min, wiped off excess, let it dry for several days and repeated the process .When it did not feel tacky or wet, a few coats of wax and started polishing.
Hope this helps,..... And I can always make another

I’m in sticky , humid,(this time of the year) Massachusetts. I don’t think I could get away with that here : (
I have mixed Mineral Oil and Beeswax together to use on cutting boards, but never oiled and then tried to wax over it.
Thanks for the info !

It’s pretty, like the contrasting wood colors and the feet. Great job!
Have your say...
