This link will conect you to a very brief video that shows this combine rolling across the floor so you can see the cutter head rotating. The little song that accompanies this video is a whole 23 seconds long, presented in its entirty, called, “Do Your Ears Hang Low”, sung by the musical group A Capella.

This is a fun toy to build. The plan was obtained from My grandson has lived on the family farm his entire life and has a love of farm equipment. It was a natural fit to make a combine for him. Our farm produces alfalfa and beef cattle. We don’t actually have a combine, but we have an old New Holland swather that looks pretty close to the combine as presented here.

The combine has a chute that pivots around just like the genuine article. There is also the bin, which on the real combine holds the grain, but in this case holds an assortment of Legos.

The little video segment I posted shows that the cutter head rotates. All in all this is a fun little toy that was fun to make. With Christmas time approaching, I thought others might be interesting in making similar toys.

Great toy for a kid, reminds me of growing up on a farm. Very nicely done and thanks for the memory.

Nice build. It’s also nice to see kids playing with toys of this nature, instead of all the video crap
