I had a second piece of Olive and decided to make myself a wine rack that matched the Olive top Pub Table that I made last month.

The top is Olive, the legs are Boire, the racks are Moabi, and the finish is teak oil. I am super pleased with the result. It’s almost unfair using wood this great, it’s like painting on a canvas that already has something beautiful on it and taking credit for the whole thing. I feel like Mother Nature did most of the work on this piece. Making fine furniture is easier when you are working with fine wood.

The pieces making the racks are glued together and attached to the legs with Festool Dominos. The top is attached with figure-eight fasteners.

I still need a better camera and lighting.

Awesome use of many fine woods. Isn’t creating beautiful things fun? Thanks for sharing a unique wine display with all of us Lumberjocks. That’s how we get new ideas and we love to share in the excitement of creating beautiful things from some of natures finest materials.
