I made this out of poplar, its a small coffee table used to sit next to my bean bag, it could also be used as a stepping stool i jumped on it a few times to make sure it was strong.

This is a nice simple project you can make in an afternoon.

The legs are cut with a 10 degree bevel on the table saw and i used a kreg pocket hole jig for the joinery, once the wood was cut it only took about 20 minutes to put together.

I cut the curve on the legs with a jigsaw and then used a drum sander on my drill press to smooth it out and add a bevel to it.

For the finish i used 3 coats of danish oil and then decided to add one coat of wipe on poly for a bit of protection. I also waxed and buffed it so its as smooth as glass.

Nice design and the mineral streaks in the Poplar are pretty and add eye appeal to the project : )

I like it very much. I have a length of Poplar looking for a project actually.

Gotta get one of those Kreg’s.

Kreg pocket jig, how useful it is. I llike the simplicity of the project, yet really nice.

Great work.A really nice piece.Small coffee tables are useful and functional in the home.Coffee tables come in different styles and colors, and it is important to choose the one that would complement the rest of the decorations you have in your living room.
