Here is my first Rocking Chair I made for my wife off of Scott Morrison’s plans. It’s made from Black Walnut, and I finished it with the Sam Maloof finishes from Rockler. I am real happy with it, and it turned out to be a great learning experience. Can’t wait to make another one! Tips and tricks welcome.

Thanks for looking -

PS I finished it just in time, she is due on Friday.

That is a wonderful piece. You did a fine job on it.

Sweet.
I am way chicken to try to build something like that.
Good for you – and a wonderful job.

The rocking chair looks great. The finish too! A chair like that is on my list of things I must try.

Really nice rocker and a wonderful gift
I’ll need to build more confidence before I build one of these!
