Here is a plant stand I made for my wife, it’s made of Walnut and Fiddle back Maple.
This was my first attempt at POPING the grain, I used Zinsser sealcoat shellac and some trans tint dye.
The figured grain lines did not show up as planed, next time I will use Alcohol and dye, it’s much easier to sand off than shellac.
The legs were tapered and mortise and tenon were used to hold it together.
Four coats of General Finish Arm-A-Seal was used as the topcoat.
