I wanted to make one for my desk, but they use so little wood so while I was at it I made four.
I used maple and walnut finished with a coat of Danish Oil and and 2 coats of H2O based poly.

Very nicely done—I like your expansion of the design to incorporate a coin holder.

Cool idea! Like the addition of the coin holder, it makes a pretty and unique card holder and gift idea. Well done!
