Feeding station

We recently rescued/adopted a yellow lab about five years old to join our other pooch (1/2 golden / 1/2 lab). We therefore needed to have a new feeding station for the two of them.

Taking some scraps I threw this together one Sunday. The fun part was making a small trammel for the router to get the bowl holes. They fit exactly.

Leftover mahogany stain and poly to finish. Roughly 12×29 x 13.

Update 12/31: I have subsequently built a number of other stands and just finished this Craftsman style for my brother/sister in law for their greyhound. I had some white oak left on the shelves and needed it to be 16 inches high so the style lent itself to the extra height.

Awesome job Grant! I have one of those feeding stations on my to-do list very soon, need one for the cat and the dog. Your yellow looks very close to mine, super cute, great dogs! We almost adopted another one over the weekend but found out someone had already spoken for her…

Great feeding station. I’m sure the cute dogs approve. Well done!

This project turned out nicely and is quite practical. The dogs are beautiful and look very satisfied and happy.
