this is twin bed I have been build for my niece over the last 8 months. It started out as just a bed with the three large drawer in the base and then was decide it need a head board to look finished and then came the foot board with spice racks built in for her nail polish and the fold down cover gives her a place to do her nails. A light and usb charge outlet gets add in to the head board yet. My niece and I are sanding to get ready for paint as soon as the weather turns cooler and less humid so the paint will dry. It will be paint a gloss black.

It would be shame to paint, maybe cherry stain, use sealer first.

Wow, she must be your favorite niece! Nice application of design and function.

Great project. And to get your niece to help in the sanding, brilliant.

Looks great.A twin bed is the perfect size for either one child or one adult.I think the beds are constructed from the solid woods and good quality metal panels on which you can easily put your soft mattresses. It provides you more comfort and supportive while you are sleeping.

I really like the function you have built into this. If your niece is younger, k-6 age, that functionality will be very helpful to her parents as well. This would also be a very nice dorm room piece! I’m sure you know all of this, I am just very impressed with the thoughtfulness in your design. Great job, happy niece!
