I was just messing around with some scrap pieces I had lying around and came up with this. Originally I was going to build a board that spalm had created back awhile, but thought this looked kind of neat also so I went with it. The wood used is African mahogany, cherry, and maple for the 3d shapes. The boarder is made up of walnut.

While making this I did not have quite enough pieces for I had to make up a few extra filler pieces after which weren’t 100% equal to the others so I had 1 gap unfortunately and one piece that was slightly larger then the others. Next time ill know better I guess.

As alway thanks for checking it out

Mike

Stellar job on the board…..I’ve made a few, but don’t know how you guys get some of these great designs…........ It’s beyond my capabilities, or I’m just too old to learn…....I’ll just have to stay with “simple”.....

Nice one!
I know what you mean about running short of pieces. It’s hard to make exact duplicates.
