Sorry don’t have any up close pictures but this was a bridge I built for my sister on her hobby farm. The challenge has a 20’ wide stream we needed to cross with atv’s. The stream crossing was 1/8 mile from the nearest driveway. I built it with 3 parallel sections each made from heavily cross braced 2×10x24’s of pressure treated. The first weekend I came out and mixed and poured 2’x6’x1’ deep footers. The next weekend I lashed the section to a cart one at a time and pushed them back in the woods and used a winch to drag the first section across and then slide the other sections over. I then drilled and bolted the parallel sections together and then installed the decking. Gravel created the ramp heading up to each side. It was designed with a 2400lb mid load in mind with a generous safety factor (it does have a total of 9 2×10’s under it). I drove a side by side over it fully loaded with gravel and it didn’t budge an inch.

Nice, practical project—like a lot of the projects I’ve done over the years, so I can appreciate what you’ve done here.

Nice bridge and welcome to Lumberjocks. It looks like you had everything figured out.

That’s one big project that you accomplished superbly. It’s a beautiful, well designed and solid bridge. I’m sure your sister appreciates it.
