A while back a friend asked if I ever got the chance to make a baseball bat to make one for him. So a couple of weeks ago I was in LV and they had some Maple blanks sitting their, so I picked one and this is the result. Its finished weight is 40 oz and 34” long 2 1/2” dia. Its not regulation but it’ll tire a kid out quick.

I’ve always wanted to make on of these. Maybe now I will. I see this is a VERY limited addition. Great job. -SST

Hi Andy;
Very nice turning.
Is it going to be used, or as a decoration?

Thanks everyone.
Darryl, any excuse for tools is a good one.
I had fun turning it, and it was easy. Finding a scale to weigh it was the hard part. I’m not sure how much it will be used but I hope its often.

You ahould of taken the bat to the Post Office and used the scale there. Say you were “sending it” to someone. HAHAHA. I think they’d catch on when you came in a few times to keep weighing it.
