This is a 18” version of the shield that i make out of pine plywood. the top layer (letters, star, and lamp) are Baltic Birch. This is my 11th shield made.

This project came from a special request to have one made with no paint or stains. This was especially difficult because any tearout , nicks, or mishaps would have deteriorated the overall beauty. It was finsihed with the coat of poly.

I also added a few pictures of a painted version of the 18” shield

Another nice one. Great for a den or library.

Thanks! Right, I think it would fit nicely in a library or office.

Also, the half spheres were the first that were cut using my “ball splitting jig”

The shields are very neat looking projects. I sure like the little and fine detail that you have obviously paid close attention to as they all show excellence. Cheers.
