This is a Shillelagh Style Walking stick with a Sassafras knob handle, Blackthorn (Sloe Plum) shank and polished Bufffalo Horn collar. It has been fitted with a brass ferrule tip and an Irish Penny Medalion. I finished this with several coats of Danish Oil and a few top coats of Gunstock Finish. I originally intended to use this as a show piece for marketing my walking sticks but a colleague offered to buy it when I was showing her some of my work.

Thanks for taking a look!

Rafe

Great looking walking stick! I’d bet this style will sell like “hot cakes.”

Good looking stick….. as evidenced by someone pouncing on it.

Your walking stick looks amazing. Beautiful wood combo and finish. No wonder it was sold out. Great work!
