Sculpted Music Stands

Based on the original design by Sam Maloof these music stands feature fair sculpted lines. Loosening the threaded adjustment lock your able to raise and lower as well as adjust the tilt of the sheet music holder.

These stands are from Scott Morrisons templates and I must say they turned out very nicely. I built these first two using Walnut and Cherry with some Ebony accents.

Threading wood was new to me but worked out great, I used the beall kit from lee valley. I did shorten the post by about 8-10 inches as it was way to high to be used while seated.

Thanks everyone, it’s a tough piece with lot’s of different skills needed but in the end all the work payed off.

I can really appreciate the workmanship in this piece. I made a music stand awhile back I was pretty proud of but this is a beauty.
