I took a weekend woodworking class at Lie Nielsen and I made this tool box for that. I got two bench hooks on the ends – one for sawing and the other can also be used as a shooting board. I am holding the drawers shut with two 1/4” steel rods that go through the drawers into the bottom of the box. It’s made out of #2 pine with the handle being a piece of oak. I finished it with 4-5 coats of garnet shellac. Next box will be made with stock a little bit thinner to lose some weight.

Great looking tool box—I like it!

Fantastic tool box! Cool design, like the addition of drawers and shooting board. Great job!

It’s a nice toolbox but a tad bit heavy and even more so with tools in it. But I can put what I need in it for a quickie fix on the road.
