We’re going to visit some friends out-of-country and I made them a couple of gifts out of the workshop. The tea box is made of Texas mesquite, tiger maple on the top, and birdseye maple for the divisions. I’ve put some fake dark green leather on the bottom. It is finished with numerous coats of lacquer.

Very nice. You did a fine job on it.

Great use of wood grains—really quite attractive.

Beautiful tea box! Great choice of woods, design and joinery. Very lucky recipients!
