The prototype proved effective, got a few sales from it too. These are actually beer bottle shaped. The prototype looks more like a wine bottle. Woops! I used a template this time to get it right, it’s made of walnut sanded to 1500 with 3 coats of french polish. Hardware includes two 1” brass machine screws and a rare earth magnet to catch the bottle cap. Made them for two friends and they loved it!

Did you cut the indent with a band saw or something else?

Thanks Lenny!

Mike: yes with a bandsaw as it was still square. I also drilled the holes before turning it.
