Some time ago I sold my smallest dust collector, the buyer also looked at what I had created in my workshop. In Last week he called and wanted to buy a jewelery box for her grandchildren to be baptized. Here is the result, It is made of maple and finished with danish oil

Very smooth/flowing lines. Looks like it was cut from a single piece.
Nice job.

Excellent job, nice thick and rounded edges, though not sure what is meant about no cheating, a single piece of wood? Depending on the wood and the box design, I sometimes don’t like the end grain exposed that’s how I came up with the design of my hybrid boxes but there are times where it adds to the appearance. :)

Depending on the look you are going for, in your case looks nice but another option for this box Lars, by entering from the side following the grain for the bottom drawer of the box apposed to the bottom against the grain you would have been able to hide the entry points and then enter the top drawer at the top also following the grain just a settle hint and food for thought :)
