This was supposed to be an in/out box for my daughter. The carcass is 1/2 birch plywood with 4 dovetailed boxes for drawers. I bought some 1/8” thick cherry from Woodcraft and used that to face all the drawers. I cut up a bunch of cherry strips to cover the plywood edges and put some on the sides to simulate panels. The top drawer has pencil tray in it. My daughter didn’t want and my wife used it for a while until she said it was too small and I had to make something bigger.

I think it’s pretty cool : ) The dovetails were a nice surprise as well !

Looks great, is it about 12” wide in the front?

Thanks for sharing.

It looks fantastic, well made box. Like the cherry and the dovetails are great.

Have your say...
