Simple box I did this weekend just to keep busy! It’s 8” x 4-1/2 ” and 4-1/2 tall. The box is of cherry and the splines are walnut, the finish is shellac and wax.

Very nice, that’s some pretty cherry. Boxes are my favorite projects, if I can ever get done with this Kitchen remodel I hope to get back to some box making!

Beautiful! I like the splines. You gave me an idea for a technique I haven’t tried yet.

Really nice, I have to agree with a combination of the comments by Louis and Charlie. I really like how the splines compliment the darker grain patterns in the wood. It looks really great!!
