I built this 12 years ago in an attic workshop using desk-top stationary tools. Modified some drawings and made a lot up as I went. Lots of minor flaws/mistakes (learning points…) but it has still survived being moved from Alabama to Turkey to South Carolina to DC to Alaska and now to Hawaii with nary a scratch so I guess I overbuilt it…made of red oak solids and plywood.

A beautifully well built piece of furniture, & great craftsmanship.
It doesn’t hurt one bit to overbuild something.
You can tell this isn’t a Walmart special.

Hi Jim;
You sure do move around a lot!
This is a great looking project.
I always wanted to build one of these, but I can’t spell Armoire!
