I made it to my motherinlaw as a xmas present. It’s made from ash.

Great looking piece. Thanks for the good pics of the transformation too, they really show the process of discovering the form.

Thank you very much! These projects can’t be planned in advance. You do it when you grab the piece of wood.
Its the same with all projects carved from a single piece of wood.

Do you know how hard it is to heat the house in the winter (last winter 8 months) when you see all those marvellous looking “not yet carved and crafted bowls and kitchen utitlitys” fire wood you throw in the owen?? Last year I burned aproximently 20m3 of fire wood. But you can not save all that nice looking fire wood…
