I saw of picture of something similar to this on Poplar Woodworking’s site a while back and I had to make my version of it. It’s all pine except for the knobs which are maple. This was also my first time using milk paint. I mixed it too thin and I ended up with more of a stain then a paint. I added some drawers that the original didn’t have. The shelves are in dadoes with wedged through tenons. I finished it with 6 coats of shellac. It’s going to be a birthday present for my daughter to keep her sweaters on it.

Very nicely done-I’m sure your daughter will love it.

It looks great, like the well made drawers, joints and the beautiful finish. Very lucky daughter!

Have your say...
